Hvote Hvistendahl. That is the slogan for the Northfield mayoral campaign of Froggy Bottoms’ co-owner David Hvistendahl. David appeared at a “mayoral candidating” session at the Grand Event Center on August 10, sponsored by the Northfield Union of Youth. He will be taking part in an upcoming candidate event at the Contented Cow, 302 Division Street S., on Thursday evening, Aug. 21, from 6-8 p.m. And on Sunday, Aug. 17, he will be speaking and answering questions at an open house for candidates at the Northfield Union of Youth, the Key, next door to Froggy Bottoms at 303 Water St. S., starting at 3 p.m.

And, of course, you are likely to run into David at Froggy Bottoms where he will be happy to engage you in conversation about the issues of the town. You can keep up to date on the campaign at www.hvistendahlformayor.org.

Taste of Northfield

A crowd estimated at 4,500 converged on our fair city for a taste of Northfield on June 19, including a taste of Froggy Bottoms’ famous Irish stew and beef stroganoff. Besides tasty treats from local restaurants, the night featured a community band concert, auctions, a beer and wine sampling tent overlooking the falls, dancing to the Over and Back Band and the James-Younger gang foiled yet again by the brave citizens of Northfield in their attempts to rob 1st National Bank. What a town!
